Each year, we recognize building management team members who not only exemplify this spirit every day, but have gone above and beyond their job descriptions.

Nominated by their executive or management team leader, these outstanding individuals have personified the qualities that KBS holds in the highest regard, including a positive attitude, professionalism, a commitment to serve, and actions that truly merit the accolade of “Service Champion.”

Miguel Rico Acosta

Day Porter

Ten Almaden, San Jose, CA

  • Miguel Acosta has been day porter at Ten Almaden since 2019. In the mornings, you’ll find Miguel meticulously touching up the lobby while greeting those arriving for the day. His energy and dedication is infectious.

  • Positive response from tenants and fellow team members makes Miguel an integral part to overall building satisfaction. And, he’s never too busy to lend a hand to the maintenance team, helping to address any number of needs throughout the building.

Danny Castro

Janitorial Night Supervisor

60 South Sixth, Minneapolis, MN

  • Danny Castro has been part of the 60 South Sixth janitorial team for more than a decade. A respected leader, Danny is a true asset to our building and its tenants.

  • Our property is one of Minneapolis’ finest Class A office buildings, and Danny continues to set a high bar through his tireless work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent customer service — all reflected in our Kingsley Survey results.

Josh Guerra

Cheryl Parker

  • Cheryl Parker has a history contributing to our success, having played an integral part in the Park Place staff being named 2023 KBS Management Staff of the Year. This year, Cheryl oversaw the transition of building access cards and keys to a new janitorial staff, working around the clock to make the complex transition successful for tenants and the new cleaning crew.

  • She conveys warmth and friendliness to everyone she meets, and it’s common for tenants to share their appreciation for all that Cheryl does — whether she’s addressing the needs of current tenants or onboarding new ones.
