The building features one of the most unique KBS amenities: urban beekeeping. The beehives support critical pollination needs and enhance the overall sustainability goals at UBS Tower. Adorned with planters filled with an abundance of native flowers, the 2nd-floor beehives are located just outside the building’s tenant lounge and conference center. The building’s beekeepers offer interactive tenant presentations, live and online, to teach them about the important part bees play in our ecosystem and how the beekeeping season works. Recently, some 200 jars of fresh honey from the beehives were shared with each of the tenants, producing a sweet fringe “bee-nefit.”
